while probably not hugely inspiring or with messages that transcend all states of humanity, these are some more recent photos of the hot shot lives we lead. The two at the top are from when I got on the wrong train at Croydon and ended up getting off at salfords and wandering around 'til the next train. oh and then it started raining. and there was this weird dude that was tending to a bonfire who was watching me walk around haha. 

cirqe le soir was kinda crazy, i mean if you're just judging by the porn-lined private room we were in initially. the evening was conducted around routine parades of 'freaks'; barely dressed exotic dancers in animal heads, menaical clowns and gimps clad in leopard print suits, to name a few. an overweight man without eyebrows and dressed in a nappy is force feed easter eggs, while a woman dressed like a man and a man dressed like a woman grind on each other at the end of the stage. so, yeah, kind of a different night than i was expecting, but it was really cool, very american horror story, and we got in for free, got free drinks all night (much to elli's detriment) and learnt kash can whip out a lap dance at the spin of a wheel.

all these pictures are basically my friends and stuff that we do coz thats what inspires me, i got some amazing friends and an ailing memory so photos definitely help. I guess its also just nice to capture the world, find some permanence in the uncertain times we're living in (that was 50,000 ft deep).

a lot of these photos are from West London Social Club, a night run across various top spots in, you guessed it, WEST LONDON. what follows is an evening at the arcade, drinks in brixton and random snaps from emma's birthday. the polaroids are from that super hot day in April (i think?) and we sat in the park and didn't wear suncream and got REALLL burnt. 

shots are taken on the olympus and the polaroid. the olympus has been my go to at the minute coz its so easy to take around,  and so much quicker than my manual focus. so expect more from this guy but i'll try include some others.

where the road leeds

well, the road led me to leeds.  One of my favourite tattoo artists is based up in Leeds, so after deciding this year I was going to start building on my collection I went up to see Dan, also know as demondance. As the round trip was pretty much five hours, not only had I ensured I had O.J.:Made in America downloaded on the iPad, I thought I would make a day of it and do some exploring while I was there. Taken around the city centre and on my treacherous journey to the tattoo shop, the photos were all shot on the Canon EON 500 before I had to return it to its rightful owner. sad times.

Getting the tattoo was a great experience, I always love meeting the artists and see where they tattoo, and understand where their work is coming from. I've started writing a new project recently and need to follow up with some photographs - and some other stuff - so I can present something. i'm yet to bring a fully realised 'thing' out there so should really try get that all together soon.

good juju

as opposed to all the 'bad juju' they experience in ratatouille, i experienced some great juju at juju's bar & stage in shoreditch for my friend katy's impromptu exhibition. experimenting with various media, textiles and lots of random junk, the exhibition was small but incredibly varied with some canvas, sculpture and a jacket (previously worn by nick for our fashion shoot). all photos were taken (one bottle of wine down) on my olympus af-10, so enjoy the point and shoot magic of my drunken hands and mind.

rooftop, raindrop

trying to keep a more regular pace of posts and uploading a mix of pictures from my Olympus and Canon T50. these are mainly pictures that have occurred either side of events or projects i've been doing recently.

 One project being an article i've written for the 2nd issue of DOIN' BITS magazine, so have been busy hanging around the fuel pump in shoreditch (where the photo of the string of lightbulbs was taken) for that. the rooftop picture is the last one i took in Clapham before we left (that hell hole), closely followed by my view every morning circa 7am and the first bunch of flowers I bought for our new flat in tooting.

other pictures have been plucked from nights out, and, in the case of buds and stan at the end, from sick nights in too. also there are other fun photos that alycia won't let me upload. LAAAAMMMEEEEE.
