doin' it in dalston

These are from a shoot I did in dalston a few weeks back for my friend Katy. All clothes seen on the lovely model, Nick, were made and styled by Katy. Taken on either my Canon T50 and Lewis' Canon. We got a few stares as we stood in the alleyway behind a kebabie (and almost got run over by about 40 bloody scooters haha), as well as a young girl piggybacking on the shoot and getting a few in on her iphone. got another upload to come from the digital ones i got as well, but until then enjoy the cut glass cheekbones and lavish layering of coat on coat.

hotbox creatives pop up, hoxton arches, 12//11/16

charlie – literally under the hoxton arches

This is a compilation of images of all the random shit we been doing since we – we being Doig and myself – moved to london about 7 weeks ago. Images were taken on either my Olympus AF-10, Canon T50 or Canon EON 500 N. I have to admit I hate looking like a top tourist with my camera all the time, but after getting the point and shoot developed and seeing snaps I had forgotten I'd even taken, i.e. the one of Aleeeeesha and Doig in the hospital, it's made me realise who cares when we got the memories now.

Highlights include: watching sk8r bois at bay66, the Isokon building, such a sick place with an interesting history (one of the first pieces of modern architecture built in London in the 30s), spending most of my nights in battersea park loping along the thames and going to the hotbox creatives event where i got to see Rosie Matheson's boys collection and met her and so many other great people. Never get tired of looking at boys.

Also since moving to London, Alycia has been the best person I've met and she fills my life with absolute joy every bloody day, she is the highlight of my life right now and my Asia Pacific Princess!

Next post will be a fashion shoot I did last weekend in Dalston, on both digital and 35mm.

disappointed in the disposable

This would have been an updated Rome post, however, once again the boots disposable fucked me over and only 10 or so of my pictures came out. i got my money back, and some free reprints, but i really need to learn my lesson this time. so this post is just a random collection of some of the pictures from my recent move to London, including a sexy pic of doig on chelsea bridge, bar the one of my sister and i, taken in southend, and the portrait shot of the forest.

after a recent bout of serious inspiration though, expect a lot more to come soon, and you can always follow me on instagram for more regular pix too.

colosseum

Having only ever been to Breuil-Cervinia in Italy before (a seasonal mountainous skiing destination on the border of Italy and Switzerland) Rome was pretty different to say the least. Arguably a city created in a time more civilised than our own, *cough* Donald *cough*, that was built on a good feeling from the sign of several birds, 7 hills and lots of stone and marble.

While we were there the temperature made a good effort of sticking to around 30˚C, except for the days when it hit 36˚C and we died. Yet aside from all the sweltering and cowering in shadows with coke lights, my mum and I managed to cover a lot of ground, so much so her ankles were swollen to unrecognisable proportions, and we were administering blister plasters like sun cream. The hilarity of the pain we endured aside, we had many fun adventures; looking for the colosseum and getting lost on our return; making gelato and pizza from scratch near Piazza Navona; trekking from one side of Rome to the other to get to the Vatican (we legit walked like 18 km that day); and discovering we were wig people, after we unknowingly sat down for dinner adjacent to a sex shop, drank a bottle of prosecco and laughed at the store attendant wrestling a half naked (and wig-wearing) female mannequin back inside.
I also got to meet up with some of my pals, who were in Rome for the afternoon one day before heading up to Fi's home in the north. Check my INSTA for more cool snaps and some of us together.

These shots are the first part of the collection, all taken using Lewis' 35mm Canon digital SLR camera. Lewis and his pals have gone travelling for 6 months, so in his absence I claimed his camera for my own selfish endeavours (he features in Paris if you're interested). I also took images at night with a disposable camera I got from Boots (single handedly promoting Boots every week on this blog) so I just need to polish that disposable off and we can update this post.
